As a destination retreat, we offer you clean, crisp DRY air. An elevation of over 5,000 feet, 226 average days of sunshine. Little congestion (unless it is biker week – Sturgis bike rally) & few bugs, (if you find a mosquito or tick a drink is on us) with loads of things to do!

This land called the Black Hills with its scared grounds & wide open spaces is in itself the only island in the United States with its own unique ecosystem. Custer is centrally located within the Black Hills and offers amazing things to see and do. The Custer Cutoff & Tauering Pines are just 3 miles east and 2 miles south of downtown Custer, where you will have your own private and peaceful venue to plan & enjoy your amazing personalized vacation.

Our staff resides on the grounds which we consider family. We cater to each of your individual needs & that of your horses (if you care to bring them with you). We provide a safe & healthy environment for the health & wellness of yourself & that of your pets.

Property Management: This rustic, yet swanky venue is a family friendly retreat. You, your pets & children are your responsibility. Prepare yourselves for hail, wind, rain, sunshine & fun. Civility & concern for the welfare of yourself and that of other guests is our tradition. Our host/hostess or caretaker will be available in the morning and & again in the late afternoon. They will check equines, remove garbage, compost & clean bathrooms. They will repair/replace/fix anything that is not working, so report any concerns you may have or leave a note, call 507-276-8571 or rise & shine with host.

There is full property high speed fiber internet with excellent cell phone reception.

Tent Camping: No electric, camp were ever you like with use of guest facilities.

Camping: - Electricity with 30/50 110 amp service, water hook-up with dump station on site. 12 Spacious level sites allowing room for cars & trailers and many shade trees. All sights have stunning views spread-out over 5 acres. Your site allows you access to all of the guest facilities with horseback riding out the back gate offering of miles of trails.

A-Frame Cabin is pet friendly: With two steps, sleeps 6 in two full beds & two single (one in loft). Fully furnished. Has heater, toaster oven mini frig, fan with limited utensils. DVD / VHS player on screen. A wash basin and a portable potty available inside. Outside 40 feet away is a Porta potty. The A-frame cabin is 12 feet away from the summer kitchen, pavilion, shower and sauna. 150 feet away from the full handicap bathroom and Studio.

Loft: Has a separate stairway access entrance from the Lanai into the dome garage. This one room sleeps 7 in two queen size beds & three twins. (A Murphy bed & trundle beds); and has a heater & fan. TV & blue ray. Desk & seating for 7 with a drop down table. Towels, linens, foam & feather pillows provided. Large closet with full mirror and mini frig with the half bathroom under the stairway. Full access to the summer kitchen, pavilion, showers, sauna, handicap bathroom and Studio.

RV: Beautiful & fully furnished with four steps, sleeps two in one queen bed. Hot & cold water, shower, sink, full kitchen, heater & AC. Older TV with DVD player. Full access to the summer kitchen, pavilion, shower, sauna, handicap bathroom and Studio.

The Meadow View Dome House: This beautiful gem with magnificent uninterrupted views is tops. A polished concrete floor on the main level & hickory wood and tile on the second. Main level is handicap accessible with 2 roll-in entrances & shower. All white linens and towels are provided. The kitchen has state of the art appliances including: an induction stove, exhaust fan, air make-up system, dish washer, garbage disposal, oven, microwave & smaller electric appliances. The dome has a washer, dryer, 2 showers & one tub. It has 2 bedrooms each with a King bed, 4 smart Samsung TV’s and high speed Wi-Fi home system.

Studio: With no steps, is the perfect for: Reunions, weddings (onsite ordained minister), anniversary, birthday, parties / dance, tap, yoga, stretch, business, trade, educational. Call for availability & pricing. *Free for camping guests when not booked for events - great for those down days to spend with friends and family playing games or movie watching.

Equine: Daily pasture with shade trees or stall rental with turnout. No sharp shoes (drill tech) allowed in stalls.

Bathrooms – Showers - Tubs: We have two porta-potties on site, one is located behind the A Frame Cabin & Pavilion. The other is by the lower 6-horse stalls. Do not put garage in these porta-potties. The bathrooms are; The seasonal full handicap bathroom which is next to the studio. This bathroom is a divided room with a sitting area and sink and behind the screen is a urinal and commode. Outside of this building is a shower for a wonderful nature experience. The other half bathroom is located using the Lanai entrance to the garage, under the stairs leading to the Loft. The other shower is inside the pavilion next to the summer kitchen & beside the sauna. There are 8 tubs: 6 near the pavilion, shower and sauna. The other two are on the Lanai for those who want a bit more privacy. All tubs are seasonal and heated with solar power.

"Bed and Breakfast" Loft: The B&B Dome guests may enter through the main front door or from the Lanai into the garage and Loft. The upstairs single room Loft sleeps 7 in two queen size beds & three twins (Murphy bed & trundle beds). The room has heater & fan, TV & blue ray desk, direct internet connection for computer work, seating for 7, as well as drop down table. Towels, linens, foam & feather pillows. Large closet with full mirror and mini frig with the half bathroom either under the stairway access or a same level full bathroom. Breakfast is between 6 and 8 AM
